How are projects identified by ICWCA as being worthy of support?
This is a difficult question. 100% of all the projects supported will have two things in common. Dedicated people on the front line, and people with passion and a heart for true conservation. Most importantly, they will be projects where our support can enable these conservation heroes to truly change the world of conservation.
How will we change the world of conservation?
I, Ivan Carter, believe very strongly in the following statement:
TRUE CONSERVATION OCCURS WHEN PASSIONATE DEDICATED AND HUMBLE PEOPLE ON THE FRONT LINE, PEOPLE WITH NO AGENDA OUTSIDE OF THEIR CONSERVATION INITIATIVES, ARE GIVEN THE PHYSICAL AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT THEY NEED TO DO THEIR JOBS – ITS THAT SIMPLE!
There are two ways to raise a million dollars. The first, and by far the hardest is to find someone to write a giant check! The second, and most practical way is to appeal to a million people for one dollar each. Yes indeed, one dollar... your one dollar. Especially if it's with a million other people giving their one dollar. Together, we can change the lives and effectiveness of the people we support on the front line.
